Just the sporeapp.exe doesnt launch for the program. Ive even tried it on a machine with no install and just the system files (a la portable) at Uni as a test. Windows 10 doesn’t run games with Securom and SafeDisc DRM. Newer versions of your antivirus software of choice (assuming you have one and you’re not just letting Windows Defender patrol your desktop) will run fine on Windows 10. Some of the games in your library, however, might not. Of course, there’s a good chance that they didn’t run fine. I bought Spore last week on Windows 8.1 and had many crashes before my Windows 10 upgrade decided to pop up. Now, I have gone through pure hell and was finally told that Spore WILL NOT work on Windows 10 BY THE GAME DEVELOPER! I am so disappointed and frustrated I could scream. Hope you guys get.
Unable to launch Spore on Windows 10 through Steam- as said in the title above. I do not use a VM (Virtual Machine) yet I am unable to buy one, and I wouldn't be sure where the 'real' ones were if I even were to download one. (CMD is scary.)
Running Spore On Windows 10
Overall; what happens is that I launch spore through steam. It goes into a window that doesn't fit on my screen, and my mouse is all wide, and it suddenly blacks out again and goes back to the original monitor size and says 'Spore had encountered an error.' and asks me to close it.
I don't know any cause for this. I have run the 'runme' (does the same thing as above) and 'sporeapp' (which doesn't do anything) as administrator, but it still doesn't do anything fortunate to help this situation. I have done a 'view integrity of cache' and even ran the regular spore, but nothing seems to work properly. I am currently uninstalling Spore C&C, Spore, and Spore GA and re-installing them- in high hopes of it working. I will keep this updated.

UPDATE #1: First update- Uninstalled GA, C&C, and Core Spore. Re-Installed core spore- and still won't run, even with only itself on my system.
