Since you are still facing the issue, I would suggest doing an InPlace UpgradeRepair using Windows Vista full version installation disk.
Note Performing a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer. However before performing an Inplace Upgrade, you can take a backup of the important data. If a worst case scenario occurs, you may have to reinstall all programs. Make sure that you back up personal data to disks or to other external storage devices before you perform an in-place upgrade.
To perform an in-place upgrade, follow these steps.
a. Close all the running applications.
b. Insert the Windows Windows Vista DVD in the computer's DVD drive.
c. In the Setup window, click Install Now.
Note If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then type Drive:setup.exe in the Start Search box.
Note The drive placeholder is the drive letter of the computer's DVD drive.
In the Programs list, click Setup.exe.
In the Setup window, click Install Now.
a. Click Go online to obtain the latest updates for installation (recommended).
b. Type the CD key if you are prompted to do this.
c. Select the operating system in 'Install Windows' page you want to Upgrade or Inplace.
d. Click Yes to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.
e. On the Which type of installation do you want? screen, click Upgrade.
f. When the installation is complete, restart your computer.
