To manual mount to your Drobo device using your Mac or Windows computer, please use the below steps to perform the desired action.

Mac Users:
When connecting to a share on a Drobo device with Mac you can either connect to the share via AFP or SMB.

Make sure both your Windows 10 machine and your Mac are connected to the same network. Click Cortana in Windows 10 and enter 'Command Prompt'. Open the Command Prompt app. Maximise the screen so you can get a good view of everything. Enter ipconfig and press Return. Locate your IP address. SMB and NFS file sharing for network clients. Native file sharing protocols always win out In an intranet, network clients have several options, such as AFP, NFS and SMB/CIFS, to connect to their file server. But for the best performance, and 100% compatibility, the native client file sharing protocol is the right choice. Try the usual Windows notation server.com files. If it does not work, and if you have control over the server (can have the admins make changes), on the Mac to got System Preferences, Sharing, then click Options for the File Sharing entry in the list and there enable 'SMB Sharing'. This will make the Mac share files in Windows style too.

3. Enter in the following for AFP or SMB:

For AFP use afp://Drobo IP Address
For SMB use smb://Drobo IP Address
NOTE: The IP Address can be found in Drobo Dashboard Drobo Settings Network Settings

4. Click Connect
5. Then select the either Registered User or the Guest option. This is the Name and Password of the Drobo.

Windows Users:
1. Open Windows File Explorer

2. Right click on Network to and select Map Network. Enter Drobo Name or Drobo IP Address then Share Name. Choose the drive letter you want. Click Finish and you are done.

Manually Mapping by Drobo Name and Share Name:
If you are still unable to mount your share, check the following:

• 3rd party firewalls may interfere with Drobo Dashboard services. You may need to add the Drobo IP address to the 3rd party firewall application.
• If you are still unable to connect to your shares;
